Written to accompany an exhibition held at the National Gallery of Australia in 1996, this book reproduces in colour a selection of Turner's works including 'The Blue Rigi', 'The Red Rigi' and 'The Burning of the House of Lords and Commons'. The images are presented alongside essays and commentaries from international experts including John Gage and Andrew Wilton, presenting their views and opinions of Turner and his art, and setting the artist in the context of his own time.
