Due to his mother's incapacity, John lives with his less-than-friendly foster parents and has become a quasi-juvenile delinquent.\u003cbr\u003eUnfortunately for Sarah, her recurring nightmares soon become reality once again when the post-apocalyptic machines send a second and deadlier Terminator, the T-1000 (Robert Patrick) back in time to 1997 with instructions to terminate John Connor whilst he is still a child, thereby rewriting history so that John Connor never grows up to become leader of the human freedom fighters. The T-1000 is made from a liquid metal polyalloy which allows the entity to take on the physical form of any object it touches.\u003cbr\u003eHowever, unbeknown to the T-1000, is the fact that the human resistance have also sent another Terminator back in time to 1997 with a mission to protect John Connor at any cost.\u003cbr\u003eFollowing John's introduction to the Terminator, he promptly discovers its mission, and coerces the Terminator into rescuing his mother from the mental institution.
