Lilo And Stitch starts on the planet Turo with the trial of Dr. Jumba Jookiba, for illegal genetic experimentation in the form of Experiment 6-2-6, the first of a new species created 'to destroy everything he touches'. Poor little 6-2-6 is sentenced to exile but manages to escape (hands up anyone who's surprised at this news?) and steals a spaceship, unknowingly heading towards Earth or more specifically, the island of Hawaii.
The Turonians (there's no mention of what their race is called so this is as good a name as any right?) are not happy and quickly dispatch Dr. Jumba and conservationist Pleakley to recapture 6-2-6 before he does any damage. 6-2-6 meanwhile survives the trip to Earth and while out scoping the island is, somehow, mistaken for a funny looking blue K9 and placed in the local dog pound.
Lilo is an 8 year old girl who lives alone with her sister, Noni. They are struggling to survive, not helped by the fact that Noni can't hold down a job and Lilo is forever getting into trouble. Child Welfare are concerned about Lilo's behaviour and are considering taking her to a foster home unless Noni is able to control her.
In order to create harmony in the house, Noni promises Lilo a puppy and guess who Lilo falls instantly in love with? That's right, the strange outcast, who she feels an affinity with, so she takes him home, along the way providing 6-2-6 with the name Stitch. As Stitch struggles to keep his true identity a secret, Dr. Jumba and Pleakley, trying to recapture him, are shooting up everything in the process and unwittingly getting Lilo into more trouble.
Will Noni and Lilo be seperated? Will Stitch be recaptured? >Deleted Scenes and Early Versions
Hidden Feature A special thank-you to the Kamehameha schools children's chorus.
